Creating the enchantment

Christine Horyslawsky uses window photography not just as a means of reflection but as a stage that intertwines the vibrancy of city life with a world of fantasy. Through reflections and light play, the dynamic relationship between fashion and the environment is revealed. At the same time, we feel the rhythm and intensity of modern urban life, we also step into a dreamlike world filled with fantastical creatures and enchanting figures.
The artist’s style merges elements of pop culture, fairy-tale imagery, and urban aesthetics. Each frame is filled with carefully arranged details; the powerful use of color and form confronts the viewer with a fashion display and a dreamlike narrative. This style offers a metropolitan and magical aesthetic, inviting us to explore the extraordinary elements within modern life.

My Artistic Journey
From New York to Brussels, my artistic journey spans diverse careers. Early art awards in high school led the way to fine art studies at Hunter College and Parsons School of Design in New York.
Decades in advertising, art direction and design in New York, Amsterdam and Brussels followed. After a Boston University Brussels MS degree in management, I engaged in international management consulting in Brussels. Parallel to my consulting years, I kept up my creative activities.
Today, I am a full-time multidisciplinary creative.
Group shows and exhibitions in the 70s and 90s in New York and Brussels respectively, and recent exhibits from 2023 to 2024, all showcase my evolution—from oil paintings to photo art panel series, to painted folding screen prototypes and designs.
My artistic odyssey continues with creation and experimentation, solo and collective exhibitions, bridging the decades.
