Live street and building reflections on the glass create layered compositions, forming new realities captured by my eye and camera lens. A confident mannequin poses, taking a breath with closed eyes while her flanking majestic polar bears hail a welcome to all passersby on this bright December holiday Sunday on New York’s 5th Avenue near Central Park. The reflection of the zebra street crossing points the way to the Sabrett hot dog umbrellas across the avenue that reflect in the mannequin’s hem edge adding a colourful frill to this happy stage and unforgettable souvenir.
This frame encapsulates another moment of fleeting co-existences where carefully framed live reflections of buildings, people and sky mix with the staged, blending into splendid realms of imagination.
